Seedling Sunflower 1

Mike and Jessica started seedling sunflowers at the end of February.  Mike has been documenting their growth.  Here Jessica is on April 16 with one of them.

Once they pop out of the dirt they grow rapidly!!

Almond Blossom Carnival

I'm trying to get caught up with everything!  It's quite a chore.  February in Ripon always means Almond Blossom.  There are blossoms everywhere and allergies are going crazy.
It also brings the fun of the parade and the carnival.

Usually the weather is pretty crisp.  This year it was a little bit chilly so we all had our sweatshirts on.  Sunny California can get quite cold in the winter months.
Jessica and Madison had lots of fun riding rides and spending A LOT of money to try to earn a giant banana that they never received.

Mama-In-Laws Big B-day

I've been terrible about finding the time to blog lately.  I am at least 2 months behind!  In February we celebrated Mike's moms birthday.  We had dinner at Johnny Carino's then she had a fun time opening presents and having cake.

Nanny and Jessa
Lots of love in her cards.
What could possibly be in here?

Windy By the Sea

Jess enjoyed playing at the Marina after a little jaunt to the Bay.
Mike and I stayed in the car after a few minutes because we were SO cold.  She didn't seem to mind it all!  Kids!

Two Little Birdies

We were at my mom's a couple weeks ago and her hummingbird feeder had three hummingbirds feeding all at the same time.  I couldn't get a picture with all three no matter how hard I tried, but I thought this one was adorable with two of them looking at a third (just to the right of my picture) he was just hovering there and it's like they were visiting.  It was funny.

Never Too Old to Learn

A few weeks ago we went over to Will & Elaine's and Elaine taught Lorraine and I how to french braid.  I don't know how I made it 32 years thinking that this was too difficult for me to do!!  After about 25 minutes of Elaine's patient teaching and the girls impatient guinea pigging I got it.
I did it a few days later and it turned out pretty good!!!
